Old Thornley School

The proposal for Thornley community space at the old Thornley school will aim to create a social hub. Offering a place for people to meet for social interaction and to promote and facilitate activities for the people of Thornley and surrounding parishes.

There has been a growing wish to utilise Thornley School to recreate a heart in the parish of Thornley, so often talked about by past generations. In the absence of a school or village green this can be the opportunity to give Thornley a central point.

Lord Derby gave Thornley School to the people of Thornley.

Help us restore this beautiful building to its former glory and make it something we can all enjoy for years to come.
